Inner-Liner for 3. Amfuel Anti Terrorist Port Security Booms Amfuel's port security boom design has evolved from a system developed for the U. S. Military used around the world to transport liquids by flat deck truck. The design uses four layers of synthetic rubber coated tire cord which makes for an extremely durable and long lasting product. The unique design has a flexible spiral column that when pressurized to 6 psi becomes an extremely hard buoyant column. This will channel the energy of an intruder's craft back onto itself, swiftly stopping the craft and in some cases even causing damage. The booms are closed on the ends with mechanical devices that are tailored for the marine environment. The anchoring systems use standard marine terminal devices available worldwide. The key factor in this system is the ease of transport and portability. When packed for transport or repositioning, the standard 41 foot boom is 9 feet wide by 4 feet by 4 feet. This will allow several lengths to be stored and transported by standard commercial containers. Lengths are available from 10 feet to 41 feet and overall diameters of either 88 or 102 inches.
